Trail Overview

This drive through the desert takes you over the McCullough Mountain Range. Much of the trail is easy 2-track, but the portion that winds, climbs, and descends the mountain itself has some steep parts that can be loose, as well as a couple of ledges to navigate. The majority of the trail would be rated 3, with a couple of ledges bumping this one to a 4.

Probably closer to a 3 rating. I’ve been on more difficult green trails than this one. Fun trail a lot of off shoots to take.

We went from Mursha Reservoir through McCullough Pass to Lucy Gray Tower and south to Nipton. We did not go through Beer Bottle Pass. The part that we were on we thought it was a fairly easy trail. Just windy in a couple areas. There were a couple of graders out plowing the trail. So, there weren’t very many areas with wash boards which was nice. The part we were on we drove mostly in 2WD.
