Trail Overview
Gypsum Point is an easy, washboard gravel route leading to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the area. You can catch glimpses of the lake at higher watermarks, making this a nice spot for a quick stop to take in the views. This trail features plenty of day-use pullouts and spurs, allowing for easy parking of large RVs or accommodating big groups looking to enjoy a lunch break in the beautiful surroundings. However, it's important to note that this trail has no lake access, so plan accordingly. As you travel along Gypsum Point, you'll be treated to delightful views of the small river that feeds into Las Vegas Lake, with its lush green banks starkly contrasting the surrounding desert landscape. Important Note: Expect around two bars of LTE service along the route, making it relatively easy to stay connected while enjoying your outing. As always, prepare adequately for your desert adventure by bringing sufficient water and supplies to enhance your experience.
