Trail Overview

A long trip, 54 miles, starts and ends at Whitney Pockets. The trail is pretty much half washes, half gravel. I did this trip in my Highlander but loads more fun in my Jeep or RZR. Whitney Pockets is 25 miles from Gold Butte trailhead. If using RZR, take fuel, or you can stage the trailer at Whitney or Gold Butte Trailhead.

North West corner of the route (before turning south) PER OnX, is fenced off. There is a passable alternative route that gets you back on the “OnX route”. Follow the signs. There is a steep-ish hill.

Some high grades (15-20%) on tight turns with a bit of camber. Rocky, with a few rocks big enough to pinch flat a tire. Would not recommend without a decent set of bigger ATs.
