Canyon Road West

This wide, sandy road provides access to the White Mountains Wilderness Study Area, mountain biking trails, camping, and several other recreational routes. The road has plenty of room for vehicles to pass and offers excellent scenery, including 360-degree views of the surrounding valley and mountain ranges. The east side of the road is surrounded by private property with poorly marked boundaries. Do not access the route from the east side of Highway 168, as this section leads into private property and may result in trespassing. At the end of the road, a large, level parking area on the right also allows camping. This is the only known shaded area in the surrounding area, making it a useful spot for parking or spending the night.
