Double S - 263

This is a 2 track trail sandy that is overgrown in parts which makes identifying the trail tracks tricky at times. The middle section of this trail also has some very deep ruts and washouts to be on the lookout for. These deep ruts and washouts are hard to see due to the trail grass overgrowth so caution is advised. These ruts and washouts are right off to the sides of the trail and can be easily avoided as long as they are seen. The trail is mainly comprised of sand which is deep in some areas. There are several gates that will need to be opened and closed as you progress along the trail. You may also encounter herds of cattle on and around the trail. Use caution when approaching and passing them. The trail has some gorgeous views of the surrounding sand dunes and prairies in the area.
