Trail Overview

This trail follows the West Fork of the Madison River, which is a beautiful stream that highlights the beauty of the valley you will be following. This is an exceptionally beautiful area and we were lucky enough to be there when the wildflowers were in full bloom. This trail was mostly saved from the ravages of the fire that devastated much of this area two years ago. We had to stop our adventure as the trail transitions to a 50" trail. There is a restroom facility at the end.

This trail is marked as CLOSED. It appears as though the small bridge spanning the West Fork-Madison River has decayed to the point it has fallen through. I walked what is left of this trail; fairly obvious it has been awhile since 4-wheel traffic has been on it. A lot of downed trees and natural debris has now covered it in several spots. There is, however, a game trail that appears it has been/is being used by motorcycles.
