Trail Overview

A fun and scenic drive through Northwest Montana. This trail is approximately 2 hours long, but expect an hour drive to get to the trail from Kalispell. From the North Ford Road, the trail starts out well maintained and passes through a residential area. From there, it narrows and gets a bit more rocky, rutted, and potholed. Good tires are a must, but most high clearance passenger vehicles won't have an issue on this trail. Very scenic with lots of places to camp and hike. If you end on the Hwy 93 side, its a short drive into Eureka for food and drinks.

Starting on the west side, scenic view is on the passenger side of vehicle looking down the mountain, drivers side is up mountain at such a grade, not much of a view. Steep drop offs most of the way on the passenger side. A few campers at the 2 bridges in the camping areas, only saw 2 bicyclists.

Easy mid day run on a Saturday. Trail is open all the way. I had no difficulty on this trail and would rate it a 2. Lots of bicycles on the trail so watch out!
