Trail Overview

Toll Mountain Road leads North from Montana Highway 2, which runs east to west between the towns of Butte and Whitehall, to the Toll Mountain Campground. This gravel road gives access to a quiet campground with two vault toilets, picnic tables, five designated camping spaces that can accommodate trailers up to 22 feet. This trail offers access to miles of additional trails in the area. About half of the trail goes through private land, with the last half going through Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land. The Toll Mountain Road has a good gravel base with lots of washboards. This trail is accessible by most any vehicle.
