Trail Overview
This ATV trail follows along a ridge called the Kerlee Ridge. Together with the Sagebrush trail and some short segments of area roads, it completes a very nice loop route for the area. Along the ridgeline, the trail passes through very dense stands of mixed conifers alternating with lush grassy meadows. In the timber, the trail snakes around and between trees and dense deadfall. Shout out to volunteers from the Hamilton OHV Club for keeping this trail cleared for use!! The open meadows offer panoramic views of the surrounding terrain. In some places, the grass and wildflowers are so dense that one has to pay attention to be able to follow the trail. Altogether, this trail is enjoyable with some degree of technical challenges and awesome scenery. This trail is closed to all vehicles from October 15 through December 1.
Difficulty
There are some steeper grades getting onto or off of the ridgeline. These grades are typically accompanied by rocky ruts. In the timber, there are many sharp turns to avoid trees and/or deadfall that require careful wheel placement.
