Trail Overview

Jackson Creek is an 11-mile ATV loop in the Gallatin National Forest that is open to vehicles 50" or less from 6/16 - 10/14. There is a staging area on the west side of the loop at the Jackson Creek Trailhead. You can access several other easy ATV trails in the area off of this loop. This trail is overall very easy in both the clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Parts of it are a flat and smooth dirt two-track, with small loose rocks in the trail. Other parts have a few tighter turns and it gets windier through the west half. There are lots of big rollers, whoops, dips, humps, mud, and sticks, but it stays very easy. The curves and grades are very gradual. It crosses a few wooden bridges and small logs in the trail. It has really nice views of the Bangtail Mountains.
