Trail Overview

This trail remains open through a block management agreement with the State of Montana and the Grady Livestock Company. Please be respectful, obey all posted signs and tread lightly. In the fall, this trail is popular with hunters. While the lake provides a scenic backdrop and a great place to stop and look for elk, there are no fish in the lake.

It’s a very scenic trail. I wouldn’t recommend with bald tires in the rain but in the dry this is a simply a bumpy dirt road. The backdrops are very picturesque and the lake is gorgeous even as low as it is in September

Dry road, no lot of rock garden which I love. Didn’t feel like a 4 difficulty.
