FS 78574

This road, FS 78574, is one of the few legal side roads from the West Fork Road. It leads to a series of dispersed campsites along the West Fork of Rock Creek. This dirt road is a nasty piece of work, narrow with ruts, potholes, and water crossings galore. Mud in the spring or after a rain. Everything a hardcore off-road enthusiast needs to raise his or her heart rate. Down to the unbelievably beautiful dispersed campsites, the road can be easily traveled with any high clearance 4WD vehicle. Beyond the campsites, the road narrows considerably and turns into a heavily rutted, steep, and windy road that is best suited for Side-by-Sides, ATVs, or motorcycles.
