Trail Overview
Jelle Road is a well-maintained gravel route that runs dead straight between Beltrami Island State Forest, Saw-Whet Wildlife Management Area, Fireweed Wildlife Management Area, Gun-Dog Wildlife Management Area, and Wolf Trail Wildlife Management Area, with farmland interspersed along the way. Drivers should be mindful of local traffic, which can appear unexpectedly despite the road's rural setting. The trail ends at Torbelkt Road, where it narrows into a two-track leading onto private property. Along the route, there are numerous vintage cars, some neatly arranged in a field and others parked in front of a farmhouse, adding a distinct character to the area. The trail does not offer amenities such as trash disposal or a water supply, and cell service may be limited, so visitors should plan accordingly before making the trip.
