Trail Overview

Greenwood Lake Spur C begins as a smooth forest road before it takes a turn into progressively denser overgrowth. There is a large suspended deadfall that makes it impossible for vehicles with a roof to pass under. Shortly after that is a silty/swampy water crossing before the bushwhacking picks back up again. If you enter from the west end, the road appears to curve to the right with a grassy trail on the left side. The smooth road ends at private property shortly after it curves to the south. The correct route is the grassy trail. Be advised, the "all vehicles" section of trail ends about 500 yards east of the swamp crossing according to the Forest Service. East of that is a 50" trail.

Difficulty

The technical portions of this trail are mainly the swamp crossing and navigating dense overgrowth and downed timber. The water varies in depth but outside of peak seasons it should be around 10-12" deep with a soft bottom.
