Trail Overview
This forested trail offers a pleasant drive along a mostly smooth route, although drivers should be prepared for occasional potholes and some water damage in certain areas. The surface is a mix of gravel and sand, which can become uneven after rain. The trail passes through wet areas and is surrounded by dense forest, making for a scenic and quiet experience. Along the way, various offshoots branch from the main route, including designated hiking paths, snowmobile routes, and OHV trails. There is a parking area providing access to the North Country National Scenic Trail. There are some residences at the end of the trail and in this area, the trail surface is corrugated from local traffic. While the trail is well-suited for day use, it does not offer any dispersed or formal camping options, and there are no facilities such as water sources or trash collection. Cell reception may be spotty depending on the location.
