Trail Overview

This trail offers a bit of a surprise for those relying on maps, which suggest a narrow and overgrown path through the forest. In reality, the route is mostly smooth and well-maintained, aside from a few potholes and areas showing signs of water damage. The surface varies between gravel, sand, and mud, and while there are some sections of corrugation, it remains an enjoyable and manageable drive. The trail eventually leads to a lake and features a few smaller tracks that branch off into the surrounding area. It ends at a paved road, making for a convenient exit. The trail begins at the gravel Woodtick Auto Tour Trail, which is more established and easier to access. Although the area is scenic and relatively accessible, it does not offer any formal or dispersed camping opportunities. Amenities such as trash disposal and drinking water are not available.
