Trail Overview
The Doghouse Lake trail is an unmaintained two-track route composed of gravel and embedded rocks that make for a consistently rough and bumpy surface. It does not have any connecting side trails and remains a single, straightforward route through the forest. Drivers should be alert for local ATV and side-by-side traffic, as this area includes a network of designated ATV trails. While the drive is rocky, it passes through an attractive forest and offers a quiet, scenic experience. The trail eventually reaches a clearing with a turnaround area, beyond which it becomes completely overgrown and impassable. Despite its condition, the trail can still be enjoyable for those prepared for a rougher ride. There are no designated campsites along this route, and no services are available. Trash disposal, potable water, and restroom facilities are absent, and cell phone coverage may be limited or nonexistent depending on location.
