Trail Overview
Trail 8 is a beautiful off-road trail located within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. The trail starts out with a bit of a sandy/grassy surface and some tree overgrowth. As you continue throughout the forest the landscape opens up to a field of green ferns and tall wispy grass. Once you make the turn (if run in the counterclockwise direction), you'll be greeted by some tall Red Pine Trees. Shortly after this are the two off-camber sections. They aren't bad at all, but something to be mindful of if you haven't driven these types of "obstacles" before. Be sure to soak up the gorgeous landscape around these areas. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. This is an awesome trail for all to enjoy!

Difficulty
The Technical Rating and Difficulty is listed as a 3 due to the off-camber sections along this trail. Beyond these sections, this is an easy two-track trail with a lot of beautiful scenery in this National Forest.
