Trail Overview

This trail begins at Maxwell Road and eases you immediately into a hard-packed dirt and sand two-track, bordered by a quiet stretch of trees that set the tone for a scenic, relaxed drive. The surface starts firm and predictable, making it an easy roll for most vehicles. As you move deeper in, the terrain gradually softens into sand, adding a bit more texture to the drive. A couple of muddy low spots appear along the way—nothing extreme, but enough to keep things interesting depending on recent weather. The route winds through gentle curves in the forest, with wooded hillside views opening up in sections before closing back in to tight tree-lined corridors. It maintains a steady rhythm of bends and straight stretches, giving it a natural, flowing feel rather than anything technical. Overall, it’s a pleasant forest connector with a mix of packed dirt, sand, and light mud that carries you all the way through to Johnson Road—quiet, scenic, and just varied enough to keep you engaged without demanding much effort.
