Trail Overview

Fun trail with soft sand (when dry) that snakes through beautiful forest scenery. There are some long straight sections with good visibility, which allows for higher speeds, but it is very transited, so be prepared to slow down and move to the side to allow oncoming traffic through. There are a lot of soft, sandy, cambered turns that are a lot of fun. The downside is that there are many washboard sections that can make the ride very rough depending on vehicle size/suspension setup.

Difficulty

Mostly soft sand with some slightly deeper sand sections, but easily passable with good A/T tires and 4WD carrying some momentum. Some uneven sections but nothing that will cause damage to the underbody as it's all soft sand.

Imagine all 4 tires out of balance and going 55mph in a car on a dirt road. I set my Honda talons suspension to hard and soft and doesn’t matter. It beat me and my machine to death. Visiting from Texas and I’m never coming back. Hope silver lake is smoother.

Lots of loose sand and lots of washboard. It was a very rough ride on our ATVs. We only rode 3 miles and turned around.

No other recreational vehicle. Helped a hunter drag a deer out of the woods and into his truck. Trail was fairly smooth and easy.

Freshly regraded sand the whole trail, but in the straight aways extremely bumpy even at low speed. In most of the turns, there were steep embankments for turning, but all of it was loose sand. Ran some of the trail with just the rear lockers on, but could definitely feel it in the turns without the front lockers engaged. Would not recommend a 2WD through here.

Nice soft sandy trail with banked corners. Some straight away that allow you to build up some speed. This trail was very busy on a Saturday morning. Tons of sxs flying up on us. Be weary on blind corners when driving through here.

very dry and dusty on the trail but passable with a 2wd car with momentum for the first half of the trail

Trail was severely whooped out, you better have good suspension. Some small mud puddles, otherwise just a lot of wet but loose sand.
