Trail Overview

The Manistee National Forest trail 9476 begins as Pike Road off of M20. The single-track trail winds North through woods. The sandy trail winds through a forest with opportunities for camping and picnics. The 9476 trail becomes West Grant Road as the trail leaves Manistee National Forest. The forest path turns into a dirt road at the intersection of S 96th Ave. The dirt road climbs east through a washed-out portion that is becoming overgrown and more washed out with each rainfall. The seasonal road ends at South 88th Avenue.

The majority of the trail was very easy and flat, and just when I thought the washed out part was a myth I saw it, and was a little worried I wouldn’t actually make it. But my truck made it and sustained a large dent in the rocker.
