Trail Overview
NFS 5467 (Rosebush Bend Angler Access) is an out-and-back trail located along the Pere Marquette River within the Manistee National Forest. This trail gives fishing access to the Pere Marquette River (Rosebush Bend Angler Access). This winding trail sweeps through a dense section of the forest that you'll surely enjoy. The North Country National Scenic Trail runs very close to this route. A few sections towards the middle of the track get a bit rutted out, but like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come Prepared! Most of this trail is only wide enough for one vehicle, with limited places to pass. This is not a difficult trail at all, but it's scenic and gives access to some of the best fishing in the great state of Michigan. The trail dead ends at 0.7 miles at a large turnaround/pull-off. There's a walking trail that will lead down to the river here. Regardless of the conditions, this is an awesome trail! PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails!
