Trail Overview

Kalamazoo River Bluffs Trail is an easy, fun off-road trail for beginners. Located near Lincoln Road, this route is easily accessible. This trail is typically easy with nothing technical. Most of the trail is a combination of sand and dirt and weaves through a beautiful forest with great fall foliage. This trail can have a lot of ruts to bounce you around. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Regardless of the conditions, this is a fun trail with some great river bluff viewpoints!

Nice short trail. Not too bumpy 2track. Beautiful overlook of the Kalamazoo River. Sandy drop off you can hike down but keep in mind it’s about 150 foot cl in mb back up to your vehicle.

The trails are in good shape, if not a bit bumpy. Kudos to the guy in the F150 that almost couldn’t get off the trail far enough to jump his GF with the passenger door wide open!

Tree down on the south turnaround wasn’t a problem, the rest of the trail was clear

at the very end of the south trail there is a tree down by the little look out by the river. It's not obstructing the path but if a group of vehicles follow each other it will make it tough to turn around.

South portion of the trail has a great look out area ware you can see the river. There is a huge dune that can take you right down to the base fo the dune. Warning it may be hard to climb back up it due to it being a steep dune. But great spot to get photos and to camp as well. North side of trail was great. A bit rougher of a trail but another great spot to get photos.
