Trail Overview
FS 8810 is a classic Michigan two-track trail within the Manistee National Forest. Located right off River Road, this trail is easily accessible. This trail surface consists of a dirt, sand, and gravel combination. This route weaves through a gorgeous section of pine trees within the forest. There are a couple of places along the route where the track narrows with some tighter trees. Like most Michigan off-road trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. The trail finishes at Hindman Road, where you can either turn around and head back down the trail or continue on your adventure down the road. If you continue down Hindman Road, use caution. It frequently has downed trees and isn't a highly trafficked "road". This is not a difficult trail, but it contains a lot of fun and gives access to local hiking, hunting, and other recreation. Regardless of the length or conditions of this trail, it's a route worth checking out.
