Trail Overview
FS 8369 is a unique and beautifully scenic trail within the Manistee National Forest. Located directly off East Hoague Road, this trail is super easy to access. Starting from the southern end, you'll start on a sandy track with some " to die for" scenery. Shortly into the trail, it begins to transition into a thick section of the forest with lush vegetation edging the trail. As you continue down the trail, you'll twist and turn as you change in elevation. The trail opens up to an area with beautiful views all around. Be sure to take it all in, and TREAD LIGHTLY so future generations can enjoy these public spaces. Also, keep your eyes open for wildlife! This trail will surely keep you entertained. Towards the end of this trail, there is a pretty epic spot available for dispersed camping. If you plan on utilizing this spot, again PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY, and seek more information at the local DNR Office/Ranger Station before camping here. Like most of Michigan offroad trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come Prepared! Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. This is not a difficult trail at all, but it contains a lot of beauty and excitement. This trail also gives access to other great trails nearby. The end of this trail ends a little abruptly as you come near private property with a DO NOT ENTER sign. Please be respectful of this and turn around! Regardless of the conditions of this trail, it's a great route to check out!
