Trail Overview

FS 8333 is a 1-mile bidirectional two-track in Michigan's Manistee National Forest that offers an easy drive through a peaceful stand of mature pine trees. Connecting Becker Road and North Skocelas Road, the trail is easily accessed from either end and follows a mix of dirt, sand, and leaf-covered surfaces. The route winds through a scenic forest with several narrower sections where trees crowd closer to the trail, adding a bit of character while remaining manageable for most high-clearance vehicles. Although the trail has no significant technical obstacles, drivers should watch for posted logging activity and be prepared to encounter logging equipment or trucks when operations are underway. A portion of the route also passes near private property, so remain on the designated trail and respect neighboring landowners. Like many Michigan forest roads, conditions can change quickly with the weather, and recent rainfall may create muddy sections, washouts, standing water, or downed trees. In addition to its scenic setting, FS 8333 provides access to nearby hiking, hunting, and other outdoor recreation opportunities, making it a worthwhile connector while exploring Manistee National Forest.
