Trail Overview

Forest Service Road 7201 connects to FS 9992 on the north end and FS 7216 on the south end. A smaller vehicle is recommended and will make for a more enjoyable drive. The trail is mostly narrow, with low-hanging branches and overgrown brush. Paint scratches are likely, so plan accordingly. While the trail does open up in a few areas, it generally remains tight, with limited pull-off spots along the way. The terrain is mostly flat and simple, with the occasional tree root to navigate. After rain, the trail has the potential to become more challenging. The main obstacle is a larger, deeper mud puddle with significant ruts. There are two bypasses, one to the left and one to the right, each with its own challenge, but both are easier than going straight through the main route. The bypasses will pin you tight between some trees, so you will need to be aware of vehicle width while navigating.
