The terrain is hard-packed sand that is a little bumpy and will have a few small mud puddles. Drivers will also find mature forest and large stones that line a good portion of the route. This out-and-back route is great for those who like to disperse camp. Along the way, you will find smaller grassy pull-off areas, and at the end there is a large turnaround camping area big enough for 6-10 tents. Here you will find a short path downhill to a nice view of Smith Creek.
