History
Ensign Road in Rapid River, Michigan, has a history connected to the Ensign Township Hall, originally built as a Grange hall. The Grange, a fraternal organization focused on improving rural life, was located in what was then known as the Alton area. In 1958, the building was deeded to the township and became the Ensign Township Hall. The building has served as a community hub for over a century, hosting various events like dances, celebrations, and fundraisers.
