Trail Overview

AuSable Trail is a single-lane gravel/dirt seasonal road. The trail is part of the Gaylord Forest Management Unit and offers wildlife viewing opportunities typical of Michigan. This track is a nice ride with some soft sand and water holes in spots. The trail can be run in either direction and ends at AuSable Loop. This route is mostly made up of pines and hardwood. Remember to stay on the trails and follow the Tread Lightly principles.
