Trail Overview

This trail starts and ends on easier terrain, but the middle section is a nice little challenge. Dense hardwood forests, numerous babbling brooks, ancient stone bridges, a grassy field, and even a couple of mud holes are just some of the varied sights Stetson Road brings you through as you drive into the heart of Kenneth Dubuque Memorial State Forest.

Difficulty

This road is entirely unmaintained. A couple of deep mud holes make this too difficult for non-4WD vehicles.

The trail head does have a homemade sign that says road closed. We ended up taking the trail regardless, no posting or private property signs. I believe that it's primarily a snowmobile trail. Nice easy drive.

Not a challenging run through the woods, but fun nonetheless. A little tight in some sections. Gained some new pin stripes on my Tacoma, but nothing that wont buff out. Keeping that in mind there are a few spots where it's only one vehicle wide. Be mindful of others coming from the opposite direction.
