Trail Overview

Middle Road is a well-maintained state forest road traversing the Kenneth Dubuque State Forest from South to North. Like the nearby Hallockville Road, this easy drive brings you through a young forest with a deep farming history. Multiple foundations can be spotted as you drive through mixed wood forests, swamps, and one of the most gorgeous glens in western Massachusetts, courtesy of Mill Brook. Take your time and stop to see all the sights on this unique tour of rustic geography.

Snow all around with fresh vehicle tracks. 4LO on my 2025 Tacoma carried me through the trail with no problem. There are uphill and down hills. Only one vehicle can pass at a time in both directions.

North entrance was closed. Joined trail from the Hallockville Rd and went south. Easy from there, nice drive.
