Trail Overview

This is a very gentle dirt road with a mildly more difficult center section that is not maintained. The real gem of this trail is the access it provides to Bog Pond, which includes a small boat launch. This trail is a main access corridor leading to multiple off-shoot hiking trails in the Savoy State Forest system.

Headed North and about a 1/4 past Bog Pond there was a posted road closed sign. Didn’t bother to check out what the reason was but turned around and Took Old Florida road out.

Most of it is an easy gravel road, with a dirt, grass, and some mud section in the middle. Easy ride.

Did this trail today so a fully stock JK in our group could participate. Definitely a 1. IMPORTANT there's now a very new looking "Road Closed" sign a bit after you pass the bog. It is not closed. As we sat there deciding what to do a MEP officer road up to check on us and told us it was open. The far end sign says "own risk" etc. It's not actually closed per Mass Enviro Police.
