Trail Overview

Brown Road offers a host of challenges through a heavily wooded mix of private property and Savoy State Forest. The north end of the trail is dry and rocky, but this soon gives way to a mix of grassy trails with deep ruts and numerous mud holes. During wetter seasons, these mudholes turn into small muddy pools up to 20 inches deep.

Amazing trail. We were stuck at the mix of mud and ice. I will definitely bring other friends to experience this

Fun trial. Ran 4 low 90% of the time. I have gladiator mojave on 35's and bottomed out on a few rocks. Definitely some challenging rocky areas.

Awesome trail. It rained the whole week and the trail definitely held water. Nice ride overall. Just very muddy.

Posting to advise I removed the downed tree on the trail near the South entrance/terminus. I left the second caught down tree that is about 8 ish ft above. I scraped with 3.5 lift, 35s and a low profile rack. Rigs with RTTs, basket racks or cases may not get under. Otherwise trail is per OnX description, though I would consider this more of a solid 4 than a 5.

Tight squeeze in spots with branches, some deep mud puddles, some ledge to climb over, a fun trail with some challenges.

The entire trail was frozen. We got stuck in the frozen puddle. I give it a 6/10 due to the ice.

We came up from the south (much easier than from the north!), and encountered two very large trees that had fallen across the trail. There is VERY little room to turn around, and all we had was a small chainsaw. We cut what we could and winched the trunks to the side to be able to pass. A larger chainsaw will be needed to totally clear the path.
