Trail Overview

This is a well-maintained state access road with wooded valley views, numerous adjacent brooks, and multiple side hiking trails. It is part of the Berlin State Forest and provides access to the Taconic Crest hiking trail network. The only challenge would be numerous mud holes if driven during the wet season.

Colorful fall ride. As quiet as it gets nestled in a small valley. Not very technical. But the last quarter gets rutted with a few muddy spots. There's also a hiking trail at the end if you're inclined.

Some narrow sections, should be noted that trail comes to a dead end that is prohibited to continue in a motorized vehicle.

The trail was fairly dry with a few bigger puddles in places but not deep. The trail was well maintained with no washouts or deep ruts. The trail was unobstructed with newer fallen trees having been already cleared.

Cowdry Hollow side was bit muddy from a recent storm. Comstock Hollow road is completely blocked with multiple large trees down. Had to turn back.
