Edes Brook Trail is a scenic 3.7-mile route near Temple, Maine that serves as a perfect cruising path for beginners or those seeking smooth access to nearby scenic vistas and connecting trail networks. Starting at Intervale Road, the trail winds westward, climbing steadily from an elevation of about 600 feet to approximately 1,900 feet with a cumulative elevation gain of around 1,320 feet. This beginner-friendly trail features a technical rating of 1, consisting primarily of well-maintained gravel surfaces and old dirt roads that can be easily traversed by most stock high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles, OHVs, or ATVs. Along the route, drivers can enjoy dense Maine woodlands, passing near Holman Pond and Wilder Hill, while taking advantage of easy connectors to popular destinations such as the Presidential Lookout or the town of Weld.
