Trail Overview

Mountain Springs Road is a challenging track through a thick forest with lots of mud and ledges. There is a small rock garden towards the southern end of the trail. This route starts at the actual trail with no pavement.

Difficulty

Most mud holes are less than 20" deep but have a VERY soft bottom. The majority had bypassed. Be sure to bring a second vehicle or a winch. The rock garden is doable with 33" tires.

After some DEEP water holes there was tree across the trail, about 2ft diameter. No way to get around we could see.

Deep mud holes. Could be very tough depending on the build. Definitely not for stock wranglers when wet.

Someone with a dozer have really messed up the trail from the Pilot town seat back to pavement.
