This is the old mine road that goes up the hill to tie into Trail 5, begins at the bottom at the creek area, and veers off the main trail; it is muddy and rutted. This trail has loose soil, as it is newly cut, has a switchback, and links up with the main trail before reaching the ridge. It is fairly steep and rocky.
