Trail Overview
Winfield Lake Track is an out and back run that provides good views of the lake and surrounding area. This is a municipal lake and there is a day-use fee of $5.00. There is plenty of both primitive camping and full hook-up for campers. The back part of this track is not suitable for large campers as there are some steep grades and areas of break over. Please stay on designated tracks.
Difficulty
Track contains a few sections of small rock ledges and depending on rain fall, shallow water crossings. Also expect mud if there has been recent rainfall and depending on amount of rain, not completing the track to reduce wear on the dirt sections.
Access Description
All vehicles entering the Winfield City Lake area must display a valid vehicle permit. Daily and annual permits are available for purchase at the lake office or at self-pay stations located around the lake. Additional permits are required for camping and boating. The dirt sections of this track can become highly muddy and slick after rainfall; driving on the track during wet conditions should be avoided to prevent road and resource damage.
