Trail Overview
This short but tight trail offers a quick challenge with limited clearance and minimal room to pass. It’s only wide enough for one vehicle and winds through dense brush, so careful tire placement is key. One end of the trail includes a short, mildly steep climb that can become slick when wet. Drivers should watch for a piece of old car debris embedded in the path that could slice a sidewall if not avoided. Overall, it’s an easy trail for experienced drivers but still demands attention due to overgrowth, uneven ruts, and narrow visibility through the trees.
Difficulty
This trail earns a 3 for its narrow width, mild incline, and uneven terrain. It’s single-vehicle wide with tight tree coverage and one short, steep climb that can get slick after rain. Watch for old car debris in the path that could damage tires. Otherwise, it’s straightforward for most 4WDs with cautious driving.
History
This park was formerly known as Sandy Bottoms, and longtime visitors may still refer to it by that name. The access road and staging area have evolved over time, but it remains a well-known local spot for off-road events and community rides.
