Sheep Falls

Very dusty but good condition a couple bypass options for the main obstacle but was able to make it in and out with know issues

We attempted in a stock 2025 Subaru Outback Premium and a stock 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. The trail starts as an easy gravel road, but after turning toward the falls it becomes narrower and more technical. Most of the route felt closer to a 3/10 than the posted 4/10, though careful tire placement was required throughout. We kept the Subaru's tires on the high points to avoid scraping, while the shorter and narrower Renegade was able to squeeze through several rocky sections more easily. A root obstacle near the middle of the trail pushed both vehicles to their limits, with the Jeep briefly lifting a tire off the ground. About a mile from the falls, we reached the main rocky obstacle (4/10 starts here) and decided to park and hike. We knew the Subaru couldn't climb back out if we continued. The falls were absolutely worth the hike. On the return trip, the Subaru struggled in a few rocky sections and needed some momentum to clear obstacles. Do not recommend if you're not experienced in off-roading.

Made it with a stock 24 tacoma trd or. But was a bit rough solo. Had to get out and look a couple times. Falls were gorgeous, look out for wildlife. I had a wolf come and say hello while I was chilling by the fire. I definitely wouldn't camp alone like I did.

Not an official trail report, but plan on INSANELY BAD mosquitos from about May through the end of July. Like, really really bad

This is an awesome trail and is my current favorite. We cannot wait to go again. Great wooded scenery, just enough obstacles to make it fun but not stressful. The river and falls are absolutely beautiful. We even caught a few small fish. There were quite a few people hiking and trail riding.

the first bit of the trail is literally just a gravel road that is very well maintained. literally a corvette could do it. the final 3-4 miles where you turn right is where things pickup and where id say "the real trail" begins. it starts pretty nice and easy with just some bumps and small rocks but progressively gets bumper, rockier, and more narrow. Its mostly downhill so pretty easy as long as you pick a half decent path. you'll come across a good mud puddle thats not too deep and then a steep downhill climb with lots of big rocks, some getting as big as 25-26 inches (measured with a ruler). after the rock section its pretty easy and just brings you to the gorgeous falls. coming back up is a bigger challenge but as long as you maintain momentum you should be good! I did it in my Corolla, so you should be good to do it in your truck/suv!

The last 2 miles are slow because of the rocky sections. Narrow in some places. Worth the effort, but the mosquitoes were hellacious. Bring bug repellent because most of the trail is shaded if you get out to scout the rocks.

Gravel road has as insane amount of washboards but the dirt road is pretty smooth. Super dusty. Trail was plenty wide for the tundra and the rocks were no issue. The drive was fun and the destination was beautiful. Even Jerry the skelly loved it 💀👍

Very easy trail, could’ve done it in an Altima. Very pretty
