Trail Overview

This route is mostly an extension of the Peter Sinks geographic formation carved in an elongated bowl shape from glacial activity near the summit of the mountain range. The result is a miles-long pastoral-like swath of land that affords breathtaking views of green vegetation slowly transitioning to pine-specked hills and peaks on both sides of the trail. Although the trail is quite smooth, Aspens have begun to encroach on the road in several locations and made it quite narrow. Larger trucks might be able to get through, but probably not without getting a few new sets of Rocky Mountain pinstriping along the sides.

Difficulty

This is a smooth road. Some ruts are as deep as 12 inches but are easy to navigate around. Due to tree encroachment, there are a few spots on the trail where larger trucks will probably barely squeeze through.
