Trail Overview

Do you like long drives on a dirt road, river views, and hot springs? This road is for you! Enjoy a dirt road that follows along the Boise River. It is possible to do this in any vehicle as long as there is no snow or heavy rainstorms. During heavy rainstorms, this road could become dangerous with falling rock and possible floods. Traveled from the HWY-21 turnoff up to Willow Creek Campground. Road conditions are what most people would expect in springtime — washboard, plus plenty of small- to medium-sized ruts from winter maintenance. Not too bad all things considered.

From the start of the dirt before Arrow rock Sam all the way to at least cottonwood creek is extremely wash boarded and has a ton of potholes. They are deep and super rough. Dams are full right now.

Great day on the way out to Atlanta. On the return the snow began to turn to slush, we had one slide off that was easily solved with a winch recovery.
