Trail Overview

The trail and loop start in the open desert winding through cool rocky landscapes. There are numerous stopping points along the way to enjoy snacks and beverages. The trail is typically hard-packed dirt, with some rocky sections with some light water crossings. There are sections of this loop that climb up into the trees for great scenery. Enjoy the Cabin that is well preserved and is a great stopping point for lunch, there is a nice picnic table with a stream as your backdrop. There are some deeper ruts forming and the landscape does change with the spring run-off, but again, the trail is not too crazy.

Difficulty

If tackling in the springtime, expect heavier snow runoff which leads to larger ruts. But still, there is nothing too crazy. There are some steeper sections to play on, but again steep sections are not super long. This is a great ride for the newbies who enjoy a loop with different scenery.

this trail was labeled as easy when I chose it. after completing it is definitely call it intermediate and definitely some parts you could get in trouble if you're not playing attention. lots of 4+ ft. rain ruts. Still a super fun and drivable route but bring a buddy, make good choices and any stock sxs can make it all day long.

Trail was fine most of the way but had some pretty deep ruts up towards the top. No problem for bikes, 4wheelers had a more difficult time negotiating the off camber sections and ruts.

Overall a this trail is a rough bumpy can’t wait to be over kind of trail, but also has some fun challenges. There are a few obstacles to be aware of especially with a full sized vehicle. The section around tiddy springs from Slacks trail to montini cabin is very narrow, overgrown with tight steep turns. Expect pinstriping on wider vehicles. There are some drastic washouts with drops of 22”. 2 rock ledges that sxs didn’t have much of an issue clearing but need to be careful with longer wheel base. There are alternative routes on 3 obstacles, 2 of which are almost too tight of turns for longer wheel base vehicles. SxS not too much of an issue especially the 2 seaters. From the montini cabin to silver city road is mellow with 2 fun obstacles. Done in a Tacoma, 4seater rzr and 2 seater.

definitely rutted and wash out erosion, plenty to get off camber and stuck in a hole if you're not careful, would not recommend going alone, good views and cool old cabins, and the challenge
