Trail Overview

Fawn Spring is a short alpine single track in the Sawtooth National Forest south of Twin Falls, Idaho. Most of the trail follows a creek up out of the valley as it gains almost 800 feet of elevation. The trail has a significant creek crossing. It isn't super deep, but you ride directly in the creek for 20 yards or so. After the creek crossing the trail continues to parallel the creek, elevated above it. Half the time you are on one side of the creek and the other half on the other side, having to cross the creek a couple more times. There are a couple of rockier sections. This trail is shaded and in the aspen trees the whole time. There is a pinch point at the top and it opens up into a beautiful meadow at the top of the hill. Overall this is a moderate trail due to the narrowness of the trail along the creek.
