Trail Overview

This trail is a great ride to get out and have lunch by the lake. There is one spot with an old bridge I would go around. The trail is open to full-width vehicles, but there are a few spots that get a little tight. This trail is full of rocks, so take your time and enjoy.

As others have mentioned the first part of the trail was the roughest. We ran into a couple of guys from the Idaho Parks and Recreation Department up in the area clearing trails. Actually seeing the money spent for off-road use being used. Trail was fine, no issues.

Would be no problem in a dirt bike, quad or side by side. Our bronco was max width. Anything wider than a bronco would struggle or require significant trail maintenance. The trail gets better after the first half mile.

Be sure to have some way of removing logs from the road, we carry a chain saw. The trail is 2.6 miles long from the Big eight mile road. Took us about an hour as we only had to remove 1 log. Fun drive, beautiful mountain lake.
