Trail Overview

This was an awesome single-track trail filled with all types of terrain. It involves a lot of flow that you can rip through and also has good technical rocky features. Crestline trail is probably meant for beginner/intermediate riders and has only a few spots that are tricky, but nothing too crazy. Once you get to Bell Marsh Creek Trail then it gets a bit more challenging. If you are going down it the first 2-3 miles are steep with loose gravel and loose rocks (we didn't have our engines on the first half hour and just stomped the back brake the whole time). After that, it turns into a really fun flowy trail and meets up with a 50-inch trail that is super fun and flowy as well. This is an awesome trail!

A reroute project of the wester segment of Tr109 was implemented 8/20/2025, in partnership of USFS, IDPR, and multiple volunteer organizations and individuals. Do NOT use the old trail as still shown in OnX as of this writing. See this url for updated map: arcg.is/1GSiva2

there is a really steep, rocky, ~1.5 milr section that would be very difficult if you're riding this trail clockwise. its was a little sketchy sliding down in while going counter clockwise, but much more doable. overall a challenging but great ride

Going through the bottom of bell marsh if fun until you start climbing back up towards scout mountain. It gets very steep rocky and rutted. My buddy blew the clutch up in his bike about 200 yards from the connecting road. A good experienced rider I’m sure does this trail with no problem but if you don’t have at least a couple years under your belt I would avoid it. It was fun tho and I would do it again. Just make sure you have a capable bike and are willing to work for it.
