Trail Overview

This trail is the portal to several wonderful adventures in this area. There are trailheads with parking areas for a limited number of vehicles with trailers on either end. Red Rock Road has more parking space. There are great views and opportunities to see wildlife. Included with this track are two side trails that should not be missed. Each will take you to exceptional views of Henry's Lake and the surrounding area. These are great picture-taking opportunities for families or groups.

Difficulty

Overall this is a relatively easy trail that can be traveled by most 4x4 pickups and recreational vehicles. There are rocks, small ledges, steep rocky areas, and small water crossings. This area can also become very muddy during precipitation. For the snowmobile fans this is a hidden gem that is little known.

Great trail between highway 87 to red rock Road near Henry’s lake. Saw deer, moose, and antelope. Watch out for Cattle on the trail on the side nearest Red Rock pass. Beautiful view, will take this trail again.

The trail was pretty rough, rocky and rusty with a few rain ruts. Trail was easily done in 2wd, but if you are coming from the red rock area, there is a section near the cattle gaurd with a super steep loose dirt and rocks with ruts going down it making it the roughest part of the trail in our rig. Views are beautiful and there are also many cows near and/or on the trails which is also cool.

Trail rough and rocky, steep climb but doable. slow tracking, mud and water holes were common but not bad. creek crossing was easy. cattle guard has deep holes on both sides.

Muddy in places. Very little snow in the trees. Was a beautiful blue bird day! Saw a few UTV’s on the trail. The run off ruts are getting deep in places, but still very manageable. The steep rock garden was wet, but totally doable.

Beautiful trail! Lots of fun ways to get around on the road. Some steep parts with lots of rocks but the our quads handled it pretty well!
