Trail Overview

This trail is so epic. Got to see some wild turkeys and white tail deer. You'll see beautifully colored trees. Huge peak mountain and one amazing view of Lake Pend Oreille. There are some narrow spots on this trail. I don't recommend full vehicles. I got some nice pinstripes from the brush on the trails. There are some options to do some steep hill climbs. But there is loose dirt so be careful. You can take the bypass to take the easy way.

Traveled west to east. After Osborne Mt the trail is pretty rough and technical as it crosses the open mountain top. If it were me… I rate this open section as a 5 and maybe a 6 in a couple of spots. Otherwise, the rest of the trail is easily a 4.

Not a real experienced rider. Came up from the Sandpoint side. Got pretty rough with rocky steepish terrain. After the Gisborne Mtn lookout down the other side was beautiful and easy riding. Came back down and across happy fork back to Sandpoint.

Most of this trail is easy dirt roads, saw plenty of SUV's up there with people picking huckleberries. The only technical portion of the trail is as you reach the peak, that section for about one mile gets rocky. There are some spots that have bypasses.

It’s just a dirt road. Only about a half mile that’s a bit rugged that you would need higher clearance. That being said I’ve taken a Subaru outback on this road

A great adventure definitely worth it some construction that day no big deal. Only a couple mud puddles nothing to brag about. Amazing views. Vegas Valley 4 wheelers members. There are some short cuts that are definitely 5 plus if you choose that way. Tons of fun

Gets a lot steeper than we anticipated, no big deal just be prepared, gorgeous views, rocky-bumpy bits of trail. we came in thru priest river, then looped back to priest river. Great way to kill a couple hours.
