Maddox Gap - FS 250

Just off Highway 136, this remarkably peaceful two-track, out-and-back route offers a gentle and relaxing drive with virtually no steep elevation changes, making it an accessible escape into nature. The trail features excellent scenery and a tranquil atmosphere, with a few secluded pull-off areas that provide quiet places to stop and enjoy the surroundings. This trail is seasonal, so check the photos for the posted schedule. During a recent visit, two fallen trees were blocking the trail, and they had not yet been cleared. The route remains a beautiful and rewarding stretch to explore when conditions and access allow.
